Community guidelines
The forum is for helping each other make better video with Vidmoat. These are the rules; the full terms are in the Terms of Service.
- 1. Be kind.
Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate, threats or personal attacks. Everyone here was new once.
- 2. Be specific.
Say what you tried, what you expected and what happened. Your plan, browser or phone help. A good title is a question someone could search for.
- 3. Search first.
Your question may already have an answer. If an old topic is close, reply there rather than starting a new one.
- 4. No spam, no self-promotion without context.
Sharing your own work in Show your work is welcome. Links whose only purpose is traffic, referral codes or ads are removed.
- 5. Only share what you have the right to share.
Your own footage, music and designs, or work you have permission to use. No other people’s private information, and no one else’s content passed off as yours.
- 6. Keep it safe and legal.
No sexual content involving minors, no content that sexualises real people without consent, no instructions for harm, no pirated material or account selling.
- 7. Mark the answer.
When a reply solves your question, mark it as the answer. It helps the next person with the same problem.
How moderation works
Anyone signed in can report a post. Moderators from the Vidmoat team review reports and can remove posts, lock or move topics, and limit accounts that break these rules. Some new posts are checked automatically and held for a moderator before they are public; if yours is held, you will see it said, and you do not need to post it again.
Your forum name is your Vidmoat Social name, so one set of rules and one account standing covers both. A limit on your account always says what is limited, why, until when, and how to appeal from your account settings.
You can edit your own posts for 24 hours, and delete them at any time. Questions about a moderation decision go to support.
